Rehearsal for SDB's Romeo et Juliet. Photographer: Gregory Olive. Dancers: Abby Avery & Max Tchernychev. Romeo's last gasp of breath.
Rehearsal for SDB's Romeo et Juliet. Photographer: Gregory Olive. Dancers: Abby Avery & Max Tchernychev. Two dead guys from Verona. As originally staged Paris and Romeo were not supposed to die in the same position. Romeo always died like this. However, Matt (the current Paris) started falling in such a way that when he hit the floor he turned upstage. I noticed it last year. Given the amount of dead time onstage, it's probably the most comfortable way to expire. After all, the audience doesn't see your tummy going up and down as you breathe. In the end, I figured to just leave it be. In a way, its my way of saying that Paris and Romeo aren't that different. And thus, Romeo and Juliet aren't that unique.

Daily Stuff- Went to see a friend in a play at Diversionary Theatre last night. Gotta support local artists and arts groups. On that same note, tonight will be attending the Grossmont Symphony. They accompany our Nutcracker. The musical director has invited Robin and myself to a performance to discuss other possible collaborations.
