Rehearsal for SDB's Romeo et Juliet. Photographer: Gregory Olive. Dancers: Abby Avery & Max Tchernychev. Wallowing in angst. Poor Romeo, he has so much time to emote. Juliet has about one to two minutes from the time she wakes up to then kill herself. Romeo has about 6 minutes from the time he first sees "dead' Juliet. That is a lot of acting.
Rehearsal for SDB's Romeo et Juliet. Photographer: Gregory Olive. Dancers: Abby Avery & Max Tchernychev. One of the few moments where Juliet needs to "cheat" a bit. When we first did this drag across the floor, Juliet would let her head fall back and it looked pretty cool. She actually looked a little headless. Unfortunately, her hair would get caught under her body and the drag would come to a painful screeching halt. So now she just keeps her head up.

Daily Stuff -  Went to teach a swing dance workshop at the San Diego SCPA in preparation for a Zoot Suit audition there next week. Today was all about teach actors how to feel more comfortable moving. as an actor, you never know when you might be asked to do a little dance step in the background.
