Too Hot!
Well, Buddy Holly has closed. A wonderful show with a wonderful cast. And now I am off to start Most Wanted, a workshop of a musical at the La Jolla Playhouse.
In the meantime, I am still doing admin work at the ballet. Today I had to get a press release written and continue working on our Organizational Support grant from the city. And, its hot in San Diego...
Thank you Juliet Prowse for that lovely pantomime of heat prostration. Now when I was dancing. I loved it when it was hot. Many of today's dancers start complaining as soon as the first bead of sweat appears on their forehead. For me, getting warmed up actually meant feeling warmer. And warm classes warmed me up faster.
But now that I am not dancing, I much prefer to emulate another dancer...
If only I could pull the chord on a bucket of water to the tune of some Giorgio Moroder tune. But I shouldn't complain, it is San Diego after all. In a week, it will all be back to our regular stellar climate.
